Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PBX Technician to join our team. As a PBX Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various PBX systems, including AVAYA PBX, LEGACY PBX, NEC PBX, IP PBX, and ANALOG PBX.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our telecommunication infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain PBX systems, including AVAYA PBX, LEGACY PBX, NEC PBX, IP PBX, and ANALOG PBX.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades and patch installations, to ensure optimal performance of the PBX systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PBX systems, including hardware failures, connectivity problems, and software glitches.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing necessary solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to integrate PBX systems with other telecommunication and network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, assisting them with PBX-related inquiries, issues, and requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of PBX configurations, system changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AVAYA PBX, LEGACY PBX, NEC PBX, IP PBX, and ANALOG PBX systems.
- Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PBX systems, including hardware and software components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with telecommunication protocols, such as SIP, ISDN, and PRI.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to interact with end-users, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Certifications related to PBX systems, such as AVAYA Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) or NEC Certified Technician, are a plus.
